It is not because the city kids lack the talent or the hunger to perform or win. But for this young talent to excel, they need to be coached using modern techniques and their talent needs to be nurtured in a way that the potential is translated into performance.
We believe that the right way to produce champions is to identify talent in its formative years and then create a customised program to hone their skills and build the physical parameters required for a badminton player.
With this approach in mind, MSCA picks players from the under-10 age group through vacation training camps and by scouting talent from various tournaments, including inter-school events and then provide them specialised training.
